And I’m now just waiting for Marco Biagi that analyser of polls extraordinaire to proclaim that had these been the results in May, I’d have been elected to parliament.

Ah well, c’est la vie and the important thing is that the SNP won and is riding high in ALL of the polls out recently. For us in Glasgow, this is particularly good news. All we have to do now is maintain and build on it so the polls translate into actual votes next time round.

  1. Marco says:

Well, it would have gone something like this:

Nicola - elected first past the post
Sandra - elected first past the post

…and are you ready for this?
Bob Doris - elected first past the post
James Dornan - elected first past the post
Margaret Park - yes, Rutherglen… - elected first past the post

Then off the list in order…
    Robert Brown (LD)
    Bill Aitken (Con)
    Patrick Harvie (Grn)
    Bashir Ahmad (SNP)
    Katy Gordon (LD)
    Bill Kidd (SNP)
    Rosie Kane (SSP)

…and you my dear missing out by just one place. Again. There can be such a thing perhaps as doing too well.

  2. Louise says:

Still nothing for Shettleston though. I’m sure it was all a fix. Frank looked worried at one point of the night, that was my best bit….
