Tenth Anniversary of the Scotland Act
Ten years ago today, something happened that would change the path of our country forever. On 18th December 1997, the Scotland Act was unveiled. Many people feared the "repercussions", many scaremongered and some even threatened to leave Scotland. Who would have believed then that we would have come this far? We are so used to having our own parliament now and although it's made mistakes, I think I'm right in saying most people agree that it's better to make our own mistakes than have them made for us. On the whole most people can hardly remember what it was like not to have our parliament. And trust me, when we are fully Independent it won't be long before even today's doubters are asking "what were we so afraid of?".
