BBC 'ignoring' First Minister's Questions
Just had to share a little tale with you all. I frequently criticise the BBC because of their bias in news and sports programming in particular, toward the English market. However, they're not always to blame and I nearly died laughing when I got a text from my sister a couple of Thursdays ago.
"I am furious" she said "and I've phoned the BBC demanding an explanation in writing. I have told them I do NOT expect to see Westminster coverage when Scottish First Minister's Questions is on"!
So I called her up. "Janet" I said "it's Scottish Parliament recess - First Minister's Questions is not on this week". "Oh" she replies and after a bit of a silence "why did you not tell me that?"!! The letter arrived yesterday, full of apologies and not even the slightest hint of sarcasm. I think the BBC were very self controlled on this occasion and to be fair, so does my sister.
