Spread my wings and fly away - as the song goes!
I said a couple of weeks ago that I had some good news. I had to wait until it was definite before I could announce it to the world (or my little world anyway). And talking of my little world, it's about to get a whole lot bigger because the news is that I am going to Sri Lanka.
I'm going as a volunteer on a Scottish government sponsored programme with Challenges Worldwide. Details will be finalised in the next week or two. Do I leave in December or January? Do I go for 3 or 6 months? What I do know, what I found out today was that I'll be working as a Communications Consultant with a disability organisation and THIS is where I'll be living!
OK I may not be living ON the beach exactly but I won't be far from it and the town of Galle looks wonderful. It's also got good broadband facilities so I might even keep doing the blog! Anyway that's it, that's my news. Back to work!
