Are you positive you're not HIV positive?

As a parliamentary candidate you are literally inundated with letters and emails asking for support and pledges for various matters. The one I've received the most emails about has been about HIV and sexual health. Estimates suggest that 7500 people in Scotland are HIV positive but frighteningly enough, ONE THIRD of them DO NOT KNOW. And that has to be because of the stigma surrounding it. It's funny how these things are fashionable one minute, then we move on to something else. And that fools us into thinking it's gone away. But it obviously hasn't and I've been asked if I will, as an elected MSP, do everything I can to support prevention measures, improve the lives of those affected by it and work to reduce the stigma. Of course I've said yes. Or I will when I get round to answering all the emails.
