Birthday girl

I’ve been away, not had access to the internet and I’m now in my sister’s house where I’ve got so fed up listening to her moaning about me not updating my blog, that I’m doing it from here. It’s her birthday next week but she’s away so we had a suprise lunch for her today and the party is now starting at my mum’s. So they’re all over there while I dutifully update my blog! Told you my family like me better virtually than in reality. Does that make sense? I mean grammatically. Obviously it doesn’t make sense on a personal level :-)

Right here goes - got lots to say and so little time, best get started. Oh and Happy Birthday Janet - must share a quick story with you all. They say my sister is a year younger than me but I’m not one for giving in to my age and each birthday I seem to lose a year or 5. One year my nephew said to me “how come you used to be older than mummy but now you’re younger?” - “these things happen” I said before rapidly changing the subject!

Birthday Boy

Nearly forgot to wish Jamie Hepburn a Happy Birthday. Our second youngest MSP he is but even he’s getting on a bit at 28 today. Here’s a pic of him (on the right) along with Bob Doris (our 45th youngest MSP) at the dog track on Friday night. Anyway Happy Birthday J :-)

Hoppy Birthday to Fi

I forgot! It was my cousin Fiona Purdie’s birthday yesterday - 33 she was, so getting on a bit!! I thought rather than a card, I’d publish this photo of her (2nd from left, ie the only girl) getting beat in the Space Hopper Races at my 70s night adoption. I’m sure she’ll appreciate it just as I appreciated her coming up from London for it. OK so she was here already but she’s still lovely and I hope she had a great birthday.
